JUNIOR EUROPEAN BALLET
The Junior Ballet, created in 2021, is the last year of the dancer-performer course.
In a framework of pre-professional practice, which allows our dancers to go on stage, appropriate the stage, confront the creative process and meet the public.
Composed of two formations, classical and contemporary, supervised by a team of internationally renowned ballet masters, our dancers work in conditions comparable to a company, assimilate pieces from the classical and contemporary repertoire and work alongside choreographers to whom the artistic director order creations.
Masterclasses also punctuate their year, allowing students to enrich their practice of styles, techniques and varied repertoires.
Our collaborators and directors of international companies come every year to follow the artistic evolution of our dancers.
14 speakers per season, allowing our dancers to confront the styles and requirements of the new trends and artistic currents of each company.
Jean Philippe Dury, international choreographer invited by the Basel Ballet, the Leipzig Opera… Has been the artistic director of EBB since its creation with an infinite desire to create, the need to transmit his artistic vision to the world of dance and the responsibility to meet the international demand of programmers and company directors.
His choreographic identity is characterized by the elegance and artistic quality of his interpretation, as well as by a particular sensitivity in the themes he approaches as a creator.
This identity reflects his artistic and professional career. Dury has danced for the most famous international companies such as the Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Compañía Nacional de Danza in Madrid and as a guest of the Grands Ballets de Montréal. Within these companies, he has developed a career that stands out for the versatility of the repertoire performed, from the great classical ballets to contemporary ballets.
We provide our young dancers with our contacts in order to guide them towards professional auditions.
Refining with them a specific interpretation work to meet the requirements of the sector.
