PIOTR NARDELLI

Born in Poland, Piotr completed his complete ballet training at the Warsaw Opera. He began his career as a solo dancer. Following a close collaboration with Maurice Béjart, director at the time of the Ballet du XXème siècle, he gradually moved towards teaching. From 1973, he danced numerous creations by Maître Béjart including “Petrushka” and the famous “Bolero”. It was in 1975 that Maurice Béjart entrusted him with the difficult task of remounting his creations, starting with the “Bolero” danced by Maia Plissetskaia with the Bolshoi… Subsequently, while he is now an integral member of the Mudra school in Brussels, while being a teacher at the Ballet du XXème siècle, he is entrusted with the staging of “Petrushka” for the Stuttgart Ballet, the “Gaité Parisienne” for Stuttgart as well, but also the Australian Ballet and the Royal Danish Ballet. In 1996, he assisted Maurice Béjart to stage the “9th Symphony” danced by the Paris Opera Ballet in Paris and Tokyo in 2000. In addition to this brilliant career, he created, with Andrzej Ziemski, the “Balletomania” school which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2009. Piotr is invited to the majority of international companies, and for more than 20 years, he has participated in numerous internships in Europe, the United States and Japan.
